Who we are

amaxxmechanical.com is run as an independent referral website for homeowners in Minnesota who need heating and cooling work done. Our only role is to put a caller in touch with a company that covers their area. We perform no work, we employ no crews, and we speak for no particular contractor.

This site is published by an independent operator. The person responsible for it is reachable by email at contact@amaxxmechanical.com. Privacy requests, complaints about a call, corrections and removal requests all go to that address, and it is monitored.

What we collect

When you call the number on this site

The phone number shown on amaxxmechanical.com is a tracking number. When you dial it, the call is routed to an independent heating and cooling company covering the area you are calling about. Through that routing, we and the company taking the call may receive the number you are calling from, the date, time and length of the call, the number you dialed, and the approximate area the call came from. Calls may be monitored or recorded for quality and billing purposes. Everything you say during the call is heard by the company on the other end, because that is the whole point of the call.

We never ask for a Social Security number, a bank account, or a card number, and you should not give any of those on a call started from this site.

When you browse the site

Like most websites, this one records basic technical information: the IP address you connect from, the pages you open, the site or search that sent you, your browser and device type, and the approximate location derived from your IP address. Parts of this site use Microsoft Clarity, an analytics and session replay tool provided by Microsoft, which records how visitors scroll, click and move through a page.

What we do not collect

There is no contact form, no quote form, no account, no login and no checkout anywhere on amaxxmechanical.com. We take no payments and hold no payment data. The call is the only way this site collects anything you tell us directly.

How we use it

What we collect is used to route a caller to a company covering their area, to see which pages visitors actually find useful, to keep the site working and protected against abuse, and to count how many calls the site produces. That is the full list of purposes.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under California law.

Who we share it with

  • The independent heating and cooling company that takes your call, so it can call you back, look at the job and quote it. Once your call reaches that company, it keeps its own record of you and decides for itself what it does with it.
  • Technical suppliers that keep the site running: the hosting provider, the call routing and tracking service behind the number, and Microsoft for the analytics described above.
  • Anyone we are legally required to disclose to, such as in response to a valid legal request, or where disclosure is needed to protect the site against fraud or abuse.

That is the complete list. We do not pass contact details to data brokers or list sellers.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no advertising cookies and runs no advertising pixels. Microsoft Clarity sets its own cookies and local storage entries to recognize a returning session and to reconstruct how pages were used. You can block or delete these from your browser settings, and browsing in a private window keeps them from persisting. Blocking them does not stop you using the site or calling the number.

Microsoft publishes its own privacy statement for Clarity at privacy.microsoft.com.

Your privacy rights

California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, and a number of other states now have comprehensive privacy laws of their own. Rather than sort visitors by state, we apply the same set of rights to everyone who contacts us, wherever you live:

  • Know what information about you we hold and where it came from.
  • Get a copy of it.
  • Correct anything inaccurate.
  • Delete it.
  • Opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, but the request will be honored and recorded all the same.
  • Not be treated differently for exercising any of the above. Refusing analytics or asking for deletion changes nothing about the service you get.

To exercise any of these, email contact@amaxxmechanical.com. Tell us enough to find you: the number you called from and roughly when you called is usually enough. We reply within 45 days. If your call was already passed to an independent company, that company holds its own record of you which we cannot delete for you. Ask us and we will tell you who took the call, so you can go to them directly.

Children

Nothing here is aimed at children. The site exists for adults arranging work on a home or a building, and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13. If you think a child has provided information through this site, tell us at contact@amaxxmechanical.com and it will be deleted.

Calls, texts and the TCPA

Every call from this site is placed by you. We run no automated dialing, no recorded-message campaigns and no marketing texts. If you get an unwanted call or text and you believe it came from a company reached through amaxxmechanical.com, send the number and the date to contact@amaxxmechanical.com. We will look into it and pass a do-not-call request to the company concerned.

How long we keep things

Call records and analytics data are kept only as long as they are useful for the purposes above, or as long as the supplier holding them retains them under its own schedule. A deletion request shortens that to whatever the law requires us to keep.

Changes to this policy

This policy can change, for instance if we add or drop a tool that touches visitor data. The current version always sits at this address, and the date at the top of the page tells you when it was last revised.

Contact
